- The Peugeot 408 GT won the Vehicle of the Year award at the 15th DSF.my-Allianz Vehicle of the Year (VOTY) Awards 2024 at The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur on 7 May 2024.
- The Peugeot 408 GT was picked as the winner for being overall the best in terms of design, performance and other judging criteria. The car boasted features which included the 8 zone massage seats for all seats and the Focal Premium HiFi System with woofers, among a host of others.
- “Although Peugeot has been around for a long time, Stellantis Malaysia is just 2 months old. The 408 is our first baby in that sense and we are super excited to receive this recognition as a testament to our hard work paying off. Even before the launch, we have received 200 pre-bookings for the 408 so our customers are definitely seeing the allure of this impressive car.” said Jamie Francis Morais, Managing Director of Stellantis Malaysia.
- Hosted by Malaysian motoring website www.dsf.my and Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad (Allianz General) since 2017, this year’s VOTY awards featured 24 categories, with 10 categories for Electric Vehicles (EVs) making it the largest ever number of awards given since its inception.
- Other winners on the night include the Proton S70 Flagship X as the Sedan of the Year, the Honda CR-V e:HEV RS as the SUV of the Year, while the Mercedes Benz A250 4MATIC AMG Line won the best Luxury Sedan of the Year. This year’s awards saw Electric Vehicles (EV) given their own line of awards, with the BYD Dolphin Extended Range crowned as Electric Car of the Year.
