Allianz Pacer Running Community

Allianz understands that good health is one of the things that matter the most to people

The Allianz Pacer Running Community was launched on 21 October 2013 to encourage Malaysians to lead a healthier lifestyle through running. The Allianz Pacer initiative was birthed on social media platforms as a way to reach out to the general public to promote running as a key towards a healthier lifestyle.

Since the launch of the community, numerous fun runs and activities have been organised throughout the years to encourage more people to pick up running. As part of our goal to cultivate running amongst Malaysians, our events focus on the fun side of running. By nurturing good running habits, we believe the those new to running would strive to go further and run faster.

What is Allianz Pacer Run

The Allianz Pacer Run is a competitive race which has two distances - 12KM and 6KM

The Allianz Pacer Run is a step forward from the previous Fun Runs when the Allianz Pacer Running Community was first formed and had its inaugural launch in 2015. The race is always held in the month of December, and is one of the last competitive races in the Malaysian running calendar.

The race has two distances, 12KM and 6KM. There is also the Corporate Challenge 12KM, where all registration fees will be channeled to a charitable organization.

In 2015, a total of 4,400 participants registered for the Allianz Pacer Run.

Allianz Pacer Running Clinics

Headquarters & KL region

Allianz Pacer has been organizing Running Clinics for employees working at the Allianz HQ and KL Branches since the formation of the Running Community. The clinics are held weekly on Wednesdays from 6.15 – 7.15 pm at Lake Gardens Kuala Lumpur.

Branches

Allianz Ipoh Branch was the first among all branches nationwide to organise a special half-day running clinic with Allianz Pacer on 22 August 2015. An astounding number of 150 participants took part in the running clinic. They consisted of Ipoh Branch employees, agents, business partners, family and friends. All of them convened at the Polo Ground Park in Ipoh, Perak.
