Final spots confirmed for AJBC Grand Finals 2024 after showdown in Kuantan

The last 18 tickets for the Allianz Junior Badminton Championship (AJBC) 2024 Grand Finals has been confirmed and ‘booked’ at the final qualifying round in Kuantan Synergy Sports Centre, Pahang.
The Grand Finals is scheduled to be held this weekend at Stadium Juara, Bukit Kiara and the top three winners will pocket RM1,000, RM600 and RM300 (singles) and RM1,200, RM800 and RM400 (doubles) respectively.
It was girl power all the way in the Girls’ U15 and U-13 category as both R. Loshini of SMK Jalan Bukit and Chong Wan Xin of SMK Air Putih made a clean sweep of both the Singles and Doubles titles. Loshini after winning the Singles title defeating Airis Alisha of SMK Derma, got back on court once again to partner Nuha Safia of SMK Jalan Reko to clinch the Doubles title. Wan Xin followed her feat with a convincing win in both the U-13 Singles and Doubles (with Denise Hang of SJKC Pooi Ming) categories.
“In keeping with my desire to join the national team, it is important that I keep to that winning mentality. I want to do better this time around in the Grand Finals compared to last year. I have been working on my footwork a lot this year, so I hope for a better showing,” said Wan Xin who idolises Chinese Taipei superstar, Tai Tzu Ying.
In total, Pahang represented the 10^th and final qualifying round which begun in Perak and then moved to Pulau Pinang, Kedah, Kuala Lumpur, Sarawak, Sabah, Johor, Kelantan and Melaka.
